Our Fabric
At Árido, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the design and functionality of our swimwear. We take pride in using innovative, eco-friendly materials that help protect our planet. One of our key materials is made from discarded fishing nets, giving new life to different materials that would otherwise pollute our oceans.

78% recycled Polyamide + 22% Elastane
Our Sustainable techno-fabric, made of a ECONYL regenerated nylon, turns waste problems into fashion and interior solutions. Vita is versatile, hyper-resistant, thin, elegant, stretch, soft, and breathable: a unique mix of muscular compression and comfort. Thanks to its innovative construction, it is twice as resistant to chlorine, suntan creams, and oils.
Since 2016, Carvico has been supporting “Healthy Seas” an initiative aimed at reducing solid waste in the seas through the recovery and recycling of abandoned materials. 8 million tons of waste end up in the sea every year. 640,000 tons of fishing nets abandoned in the oceans (FAO and UNEP sources).
Alarming data tell us that, if the situation doesn’t change, by 2050, the ocean could contained more trash than fish. We need to completely change our approach, coexisting in the best possible way with nature and reflecting on the importance of a limited resource such as water of our planet. It requires a new awareness and a change of mindset.
